Betsy on 1st January 2007 at 3:55pmTried several different dishes and found that good. There is a wide range of dishes that are exotic and interesting. The atmosphere had a fusion of industrial and twenties style.
KazooJoe on 1st January 2007 at 3:55pmFor my wife and myself, the best part of the meal is the appetizers. At Fandago, everything is an appetizer and the selection of choices is wonderful. We tried shrimp, rabbit and rattlesnake, and several other dishes. Not as expesnive as I expected. Three of us ate for about $40.
Joe Schmoe on 1st January 2007 at 3:55pmMy wife and I were excited when we learned a Tapas restaurant had opened in Kalamazoo since we had tried a few in Grand Rapids such as Sanchez and The Monkey Bar. At Fandango, there is some variety on the menu, which is expected of a Tapas restaurant, but the food did not have a punch to it like the food we had at Sanchez and The Monkey Bar. The music was unique. If you are a meat and potatoes kind of person or Applebee`s is exotic food to you, Tapas may not be your thing. However, you don`t have to order a $15 dinner item and then be dissapointed with it, you can order a $5.00 plate and then order something different. To sum it up, Fandango was good but not great. I will go to Fandango again but if I ever get the chance, I`m going to the Monkey Bar where both the food and the experience are memorable.
